I am so glad we took care of the courthouse legal stuff ahead of time! I was an emotional ball of joy that day and look like a doofus in all my photos! I think taking care of that first allowed me to be much less nervous and balling on the ceremony day in Alaska. I am so glad I got to have both, which were very different experiences, but both small and intimate.
I think I kept it together walking down the aisle in our beautiful rainforest garden venue until it was time for dad to give me away. I am not traditional, but this was such a tender and beautiful moment I did almost lose my composure. Luckily once I saw my handsome husband in uniform and he grabbed my hands I felt calm, cool, and collected!
It felt almost as fast as the courthouse wedding and I am so glad I was not balling my eyes out because I look much better in the photos I’ve seen. Hopefully the professional photos will turn out nice and be ready in time to share at the reception.
A huge thank you to everyone that made it to the courthouse and to those that celebrated on the cruise. It was really nice having practically a week long celebration 🙂
We look forward to one final celebration in the form of a Halloween party! We hope to share some photos and our love as we know in a perfect world all our friends would have been on the cruise to help us begin our journey as husband and wife.
